DTW Airport Pickup Information

Upon arrival at Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), your chauffeur will greet you at your airline’s assigned baggage claim area holding a sign with the passenger’s name.

To ensure smooth communication, please turn on your cell phone upon landing—this is the only way the chauffeur can contact you.

We offer the following complimentary wait times:

  • 30 minutes for domestic arrivals

  • Up to 1 hour for international arrivals

We monitor flight status to adjust for delays as best as possible; however, third-party flight trackers are not always accurate. To avoid any additional wait time charges (beyond the free grace period), please notify us immediately if your flight is delayed.

Important Notes:

If your flight is canceled or missed, you must reschedule or cancel your pickup to avoid being charged in full. Cancellations made under 24 hours are non-refundable. All DTW pickups are subject to a $10 airport parking fee, which is mandated by the airport and added to your fare.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule your ride, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time (to or from the airport or any location) are non-refundable. All cancellations must be made using the same phone number or email used to book the reservation. We recommend rescheduling before the 24-hour window to ensure availability.

Terms of Service

Mechanical Failures: Metro Ann Arbor Cars is not liable for service delays due to unforeseen mechanical issues. We will work with you to make up lost time when possible, but we do not provide compensation or trip interruption insurance.

Weather Delays: We are not responsible for delays or ride cancellations caused by unsafe road conditions (e.g., winter storms, ice, accidents).

Damage & Cleaning Fees: The client assumes full financial liability for any damage caused to the vehicle by anyone in their party during the rental period.

A minimum $150 cleaning fee applies for:

  • Vomiting

  • Excessive mess

  • Interior damage such as burns or staining

By booking a ride, you agree to these terms.

Gratuity

20% gratuity is industry standard and will be automatically added for the chauffeur offering any prepaid/reserved ride.

Notice

Due to unpredictable Michigan weather, a road hazard surcharge fee may be added at our discretion to any reservation when the weather is unsafe and/or hazardous, i.e. snow storm, freezing rain, heavy fog or any weather related situation. Michigan’s Metro Ann Arbor Black Car Service reserves the right to cancel any reservation at any time.
